CARIBOU HUNT INFO
The area has an excellent population of Barren Ground
Caribou. For hunters
interested in caribou, there are opportunities to hunt them
on all hunts. In the
early part of August, the caribou antlers are in velvet; a
unique trophy.
Toward the end of August the Caribou shed their velvet and
the antlers become a dark brown.
Our caribou are generally found above the timberline
at the elevation of 3000-6500 feet.
Hunting is done on foot or horseback.
